§ 32.69 POWERS AND DUTIES.
   The Tree Commission shall perform the following duties:
   (A)   Adopt its own procedural rules and regulations.
   (B)   Investigate and recommend to the City Council procedures, policies, or initiatives regarding the maintenance, preservation, renewal, or care of city trees.
   (C)   Investigate and recommend to the City Council standards and guidelines for use by city staff in the maintenance of city trees.
   (D)   Recommend to the City Council resolutions of disputes with private property owners regarding either publicly owned or privately owned trees, and regulations that may, now or hereafter, govern those trees or the public property on which they are planted or proposed to be planted.
   (E)   Inform and educate the citizens of the city concerning the importance and significance of a quality urban forest, and the policies and regulations promulgated for the maintenance, preservation, renewal, and care of the same.
   (F)   Perform any other task, as necessary and approved by the City Council, in furtherance of the City Urban Forestry program.
