§ 31.70 SUPERINTENDENT OF STREETS.
   The Superintendent of Streets shall hold his office for the term of office of the Mayor making the appointment. His term shall expire as soon after the end of the term of office of the appointing Mayor as his successor is appointed and qualified. The Superintendent of Streets shall execute a bond, with security to be approved by the City Council, payable to the city, before entering upon the duties of his office. The bond shall be in the penal sum of $1,000 conditioned upon the faithful performance of the duties of his office and the payment of all moneys received by him, according to law and the ordinances of the city.
