§ 31.32 ASSISTANT CLERK.
   The City Clerk, with the approval of the City Council, is authorized to engage such assistants from time to time as he deems necessary for the proper conduct of the business of his office. Such assistants shall be paid as the Council may prescribe. Such assistants shall also be deputy clerks and shall have the power and authority to certify city records and take such other actions as may be authorized to deputy clerks by law.
