(A) Findings. The Township Board hereby determines that is in the best interests of the residents and taxpayers of the township to amend the boundaries of the district and jurisdiction of the Authority which shall operate to halt property value deterioration, eliminate the causes of that deterioration, increase property tax valuation where possible in the business district of the township, and promote economic growth, pursuant to Public Act 57 of 2018.
(B) Amendment of ordinance establishing Downtown Development Authority. The prior ordinance of the township is hereby amended to provide that the boundaries of the district in which the Authority shall exercise its powers as provided in the Act shall be amended to add the territory of the township described in Exhibit A attached to Ordinance 37 and made part of, subject to such changes as may hereinafter be made pursuant to Public Act 57 of 2018.
