The Fireworks Safety Act, Public Act 256 of 2011, effective January 1, 2012, being M.C.L.A. §§ 28.451 et seq., legalized the sale of consumer fireworks in the state and delegated to communities limited control over the use and discharge of the fireworks. In the interest of maintaining public health, safety and general welfare, the township hereby provides for the regulation and use of fireworks within the township as provided in Public Act 256 of 2011, as may be amended, and repeals all existing fireworks regulations that conflict with the Act.
