(a) General. The fee for all building permits shall be as established by resolution of the Village Board. If work commences prior to obtaining a building permit, double fees will be charged.
(b) Permit fees.
(1) Building permit fees. The following fees apply to totally new construction, including additions, decks, and the like. All fractions are charged at the full incremental rate.

(2) Projects other than new construction. The following fees applies to projects other than new construction, such as remodeling.
a. Administrative fees. An administrative fee of 20% shall be added to the building for each combination of building, HVAC, plumbing, or electrical permit issued for the project. The fee shall not exceed $50.

c. Minimum fees. The value of construction for calculating permit fees shall be calculated using the most recent building valuation data (including regional modifiers, as published by the International Conference of Building Officials in Building Standards magazine).

e. Penalty. A penalty fee shall be assessed for any work started without a building permit. The penalty fee shall be equal to the permit fee. The village shall retain all penalty fees; the Clerk shall attribute the same to the General Fund.
