§ 10-3-5 SNOWMOBILE ROUTES AND TRAILS DESIGNATED.
   (a)   Routes designated.
      (1)   Except as provided in Wis. Stats. §§ 350.02 and 350.045, or for snowmobile events authorized in accordance with Wis. Stats. § 350.04, no person shall operate a snowmobile upon any public right-of-way, in any public park, or on any other public municipal property in the village except as hereinafter designated.
      (2)   The following streets are designated snowmobile routes.
         a.   Elm Street from Blaine Avenue to Logan Avenue.
         b.   Front Avenue.
         c.   North Line Road between Poplar Street and Railway Line.
         d.   Rail Road Avenue from Maple Street to Pine Street; then North on Pine Street to Martin Avenue.
   (b)   Parks and recreational areas. Operation of snowmobiles on marked routes or trails is authorized in public parks and recreational areas only to traverse to adjoining trails, subject to approval of the Village Board and governing body of the village schools.
   (c)   Trail markers. The Street Department of the village are directed and authorized to procure, erect, and maintain appropriate snowmobile route, trail, or limit markers, and may accept such appropriate route markers from any organized snowmobilers’ group or club as may be satisfactory and may also obtain assistance from snowmobilers’ clubs.
   (d)   Closing of trails. The Chief of Police shall have the power to declare the stated snowmobile routes and trails either open or closed.
   (e)   Markers to be obeyed. No person shall fail to obey any route or trail sign, marker, or limit erected in accordance with this section.
