(a) The Treasurer shall be appointed by the Village Administrator, Clerk, or highest elected official, as appropriate, subject to confirmation by a majority vote of the Village Board, for an indefinite term. The Treasurer may be terminated for cause by a majority vote of the Village Board and at the pleasure of the Village Board by a six-sevenths vote of the Village Board.
(b) The Treasurer shall possess the authority of the Treasurer as defined in the state statutes and the village ordinances.
(c) The Treasurer shall perform the duties of the Treasurer defined in Wis. Stats. § 61.26, including duties defined in village ordinances and duties specified by the Village Board.
