(a) The Clerk shall be appointed by the Village Administrator, subject to confirmation by a majority vote of the Village Board for an indefinite term. The Clerk may be terminated for cause by a majority vote of the Village Board and at the pleasure of the Village Board by a six-sevenths vote of the Village Board.
(b) The Clerk shall possess the authority of the Clerk as defined in the state statutes and the village ordinances.
(c) The Clerk shall perform the duties of the Clerk defined in Wis. Stats. § 61.25, which include duties defined in village ordinances, and duties specified by the Village Board.
