As used in this title, the following words and terms shall have the meanings herein ascribed to them unless the context makes the meanings repugnant thereto.
ANIMAL. Any horse, pony, donkey, mule, burro or other animals which may be ridden or driven.
CURB. The lateral boundaries of the road-bed of a street.
DRIVE. To ride, to drive, propel or operate.
DRIVER. Any person, as herein defined, who drives, operates or propels a vehicle, as herein defined.
PARK or PARKING. The standing of a vehicle, whether occupied or not, otherwise than temporarily for the purpose of and while actually engaged in loading or unloading passengers or merchandise.
RIDER. The rider, driver or person in charge of any vehicle or animal.
STREET. Every street, avenue, boulevard, highway, roadway, lane, alley, strip, path, square or place laid out for the use of vehicles.
VEHICLE. Any device in, upon or by which any person or property may be transported upon a street or highway, except those operated upon rails or tracks.
VEHICLE CODE DEFINITIONS. The definition of any term not otherwise herein defined shall be the same as such term is defined and described in the Vehicle Code of the state and amendments thereto.
