§ 10.188.100   Hazardous signs.
   Signs shall conform to the following provisions of the California Vehicle Code.
   (A)   No person shall place, maintain or display upon or in view of any highway, any unofficial sign, signal or device, or any sign, signal or device which purports to be or is an imitation of, or resembles an official traffic sign or signal, or which attempts to direct the movement of traffic, or which hides from view any official sign or signal.
   (B)   No person shall place, maintain or display upon or in view of any highway, any light of any color of such brilliance as to blind or dazzle the vision of drivers upon the highway nor shall any light be placed in such position as to prevent the driver of a vehicle from readily recognizing any traffic sign or signal.
   (C)   The state’s Department of Public Works, members of the California Highway Patrol and local authorities are hereby authorized and empowered without notice to remove every prohibited sign, signal, device or light which is a public nuisance or cause the same to be removed, or the Director of the Department, the Chief of the patrol or local authorities may bring any action as provided by law to abate the nuisance.
