The city desires to allow for greater flexibility in housing style and design. In order to accomplish housing variety, an ordinance providing for townhouse or row housing development is enacted which provides for development standards and guidelines. Townhouse development provides for increased density in the range of eight to 12 units per acre. Increased density addresses critical statewide issues such as housing affordability and resource land protection by minimizing spread out development.
