The purpose of this chapter is to protect the public health, safety and welfare in the vicinity of the airport by minimizing exposure to potential airplane crashes and significant noise levels. Further, to identify those uses that are compatible in the Airport Combining District and to establish development standards to which development will conform. This chapter is adopted pursuant to the Airport Approaches Zoning Law of the State of California (commencing at Cal. Gov’t Code § 50485) and the Planning and Zoning Law of the State of California (commencing at Cal. Gov’t Code § 65000).
