(a) Upon request by a representative of the police department, the person in charge or control of the private property upon which a motor vehicle is located or the registered owner of the motor vehicle shall provide proof of insurance/financial responsibility as required by Ohio R.C. Chapter 4509. Failure to comply would constitute proof that the motor vehicle is a junked motor vehicle.
(b) Upon request by a representative of the police department, the person in charge or control of the private property upon which a motor vehicle is located or the registered owner of the motor vehicle shall demonstrate that the motor vehicle can be driven under its own power. Failure to comply would constitute proof that the motor vehicle is inoperative.
