6-3-14: CUSTODIAN MAY RECEIVE PROCEEDS OF SALE:
If the custodian of any personal property sold under the provisions of this chapter shall, at any time within fourteen (14) days from the date of such sale, make satisfactory proof to the chief of police or his agent of his ownership, he shall be entitled to receive the net proceeds of such sale on deposit in the city treasury. The failure of the custodian to make such proof within such period shall result in a waiver by the custodian of any claim to said net proceeds which the custodian would otherwise have.
