(A) There is hereby created the Office of Deputy Treasurer of the city.
(B) The Treasurer, with the advice and consent of the corporate authorities, shall appoint the Deputy Treasurer.
(C) The term of the appointment shall be for one year, from May 1 to April 30.
(D) The Treasurer shall be held responsible, severally, for the fidelity of all persons appointed by the Treasurer to serve as Deputy Treasurer.
(E) The Deputy Treasurer shall be a municipal officer and shall comply with all bonding requirements of the state and the statutory duties set forth in ILCS Ch. 65, Act 5, § 3.1-35-40-85, as amended from time to time.
