§ 32.088 PERSONAL USE OF FUNDS.
   The City Treasurer shall keep all money belonging to the city in his or her custody separate and distinct from his or her own money, and he or she shall not use, either directly or indirectly, the city’s money or warrants in his or her custody for his or her own use and benefit, or that of any other person. Any violation of this provision shall subject him or her to immediate removal from office by the City Council, which may declare the Treasurer’s office vacant. In that case his or her successor shall be appointed, and he or she shall hold his or her office for the remainder of the unexpired term of the Treasurer so removed.
