(A) Post-frame buildings for use for human occupancy.
(1) All concrete foundations and frost walls must meet or exceed the requirements set forth in the most recent edition of the International Building Code for size, strength, depth and anchor bolts.
(2) Termite shield and sill sealer must be installed between foundation and foundation plate.
(3) Foundation plate must be a four-inch by six-inch timber and of adequate strength to resist twisting between the vertical columns.
(4) Eleven gauge galvanized steel T-plate or equal shall be used to tie vertical columns to foundation plate.
(B) Post-frame for storage only.
(1) The hole for every post must be at least 14 inches in diameter and must extend to a depth of at least four feet, five inches (or to undisturbed earth, if undisturbed earth is only to be found at a greater depth).
(2) A precast concrete pad of at least 12 inches in diameter and five inches thick (or an amount of concrete mix poured in the hole, having the equivalent or greater dimensions) must be placed at the base of every hole.
(3) Dirt must be backfilled into each hole around the post or column set therein and must be compacted.
