§ 116.002 LOCAL LIQUOR CONTROL COMMISSIONER.
   (A)   The Mayor is hereby authorized to be the Local Liquor Control Commissioner and shall be charged with the administration of the Liquor Control Act of 1934 (formerly known as the Dram Shop Act), ILCS Ch. 235, Act 5, § 1-1, and of the provisions of this code and other ordinances and resolutions relating to alcoholic liquor as may be needed.
   (B)   The Mayor may appoint a person or persons to assist the Mayor in the exercise of the powers and performance of the duties provided for the Local Liquor Control Commissioner.
   (C)   Any reference in the chapter to “the Commissioner” shall be to the Local Liquor Control Commissioner or the authorized agent of the Local Liquor Control Commissioner.
