§ 112.01 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   CHAUFFEUR. Any person whose principal occupation is that of operation of a motor vehicle, or who directly or indirectly receives pay or any compensation whatsoever for any work or services in connection with the operation of a motor vehicle for the transportation of passengers or merchandise for hire.
   TAXICAB. All motor vehicles carrying passengers for hire, for which public patronage is listed; however, motor buses, vans or other commercial vehicles carrying more than nine passengers and used for charter purposes or for the transportation of school children shall not be considered taxicabs under this chapter.
