(A) All water mains shall meet the following requirements.
(1) They shall have minimum diameters of six inches.
(2) They shall have 48-inch covers.
(3) They shall be installed with a tracer wire.
(B) The two types of water main pipes which shall be acceptable are:
(1) Ductile iron pipe; and
(2) Plastic SDR 21.
(C) Water main valves shall be approved by the Director of Public Works.
(D) All water mains and accessories shall be installed according to the IEPA and AWWA standards.
