Standpipes, hydrants, gate valves and any other apparatus that cause water hammer or any danger to the water system or to the plumbing of other customers of the city water system shall be immediately repaired or removed upon notice from the city, or at its option the city may immediately discontinue or refuse service, without notice and without any liability for direct or resulting damages therefrom.
