There is hereby established a police pension fund and in accordance with the provisions of an act of the legislature of the state, entitled, “Policemen’s Pension Fund—Municipalities 500,000 and Under,” ILCS Ch. 40, Act 5, §§ 3-101 et seq. Because of its establishment of this Police Pension Fund, the city hereby terminates its contributions to, and administration of, all other pension plans to which it has previously contributed, or which it has previously administered, in behalf of the police officers who will be covered by the pension established by this subchapter.
