§ 50.07 WATER SALE PERMITTING.
   (A)   Water sale permits shall be obtained from the Public Works Director or his or her assigned designee. The Public Works Director or his or her designee are the only town personnel authorized to issue the truck/tanker certification card. The certification card and permit shall contain the truck or tanker serial number and tag number.
   (B)   The Public Works Manager or his or her designee will designate specific hydrants from which the customer will be authorized to take water.
   (C)   Upon being certified, the customer will be issued a tanker/water permit by the Public Works Manager or his or her designee. This permit, along with the truck/tanker certification card, will need to remain in the possession of the truck/tanker operator at all times so that it will be available to the town personnel for inspection when checking for authorized use of town hydrants. The initial application fee is an amount in accordance with the Town Fee Schedule, with the permit to expire one month from the date of issuance unless determined otherwise by the Town Inspector.
   (D)   The customer will need to keep a record of the number of gallons used during the month and present it for billing at a rate in accordance with the Town Fee Schedule at or before the expiration of the initial permit. At that time, if the customer will be drawing any additional water, he or she will need to renew his or her tanker/water permit for a month at a time in an amount in accordance with the Town Fee Schedule, continuing to keep monthly records of usage to be submitted monthly at the time of permit renewal to the Public Works Manager or his or her designee.
   (E)   If there is no activity for 12 months after the initial application is issued, upon request for water purchase, it will be necessary to pay an initial application fee in an amount in accordance with the Town Fee Schedule.
