§ 95.99 PENALTY.
The Town Manager is authorized to administer and enforce the provisions of this chapter and may exercise any enforcement powers as set forth in law. Any person violating any provision of this chapter shall be subject to a civil penalty in the amount of $250 for the first violation and an additional $50 for each day the violation is not corrected. Penalties under this chapter are considered restorative and are intended to provide the town with compensation for costs associated with the town’s program to monitor, control, prosecute, cure, and/or correct the violation. Violations of any other section of this code, state or local fire codes, state or local building codes, or any other rule or regulation may result in the imposition of additional restorative penalties. Any citizen or organization subjected to such penalty shall have the right to appeal in civil violations to the Town Council where it may uphold, amend, or overturn the action of the Town Manager.
