§ 53.20 PURPOSE AND INTENT.

   The purpose and intent of this subchapter are as follows:

   (A)   To promote the safety, health, and welfare of the public in the use of landfills within the town;

   (B)   To keep the town attractive and promote the prosperity and economic well-being and general welfare of the town;

   (C)   To preserve and enhance the beauty of the roadsides and neighborhoods of the town and to improve aesthetics of the town;

   (D)   To protect the public from health nuisances and safety hazards; and

   (E)   To exercise the general police powers of the town to abate nuisances.
