(A) Installation location. Backwater valves shall be installed in the branch of the building drain which receives only the discharge from fixtures located within such branch and below grade.

(B) Installation according to State Code. All backwater valves shall be installed in accordance with the requirements of the State Building Code, as said code shall be amended from time to time, to the extent that, if the code conflicts with the provisions of this subchapter, the terms and provisions of the code shall apply.
