§ 94.16 CONFINEMENT.
Pending the outcome of the appeal, the animal must be confined at a licensed veterinary clinic or at the animal shelter, the cost of which shall be borne by the owner of the dog in question. If the dog in question is not in the possession of the animal shelter or a veterinary clinic at the time of the determination, the owner must surrender the dog to the animal control authority or its designee when ordered to do so. If the owner fails to immediately surrender the dog, the animal control authority or its designee shall have the right to take the dog into its possession from the premises of the owner or elsewhere, wherever the dog may be found within the city limits. If the dog can not be taken into custody by the animal control authority or its designee, it may be taken into custody under a search warrant for contraband issued by the Municipal Judge.
