A permit fee, amounting to $100 shall be required for an itinerant merchant, itinerant vendor, or peddler. Provided, however, that when any person firm, company, partnership, corporation or association engaged in any activity listed in § 110.03 hereof through one or more agents or employees, such person, firm, company, partnership, corporation or association shall, in addition to said fee of $100, above mentioned, pay an additional permit fee of $30 for each agent or employee so engaged, all of which permits shall be valid for one year from the date of their issuance. The fee as herein provided for shall be used for the purpose of defraying expenses incident to the issuance of said permits.
