1482.15 ABANDONMENT OF CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS.
   Except for circumstances beyond the property owner's control (e.g. labor strikes, inclement weather, etc.), all construction work on any building or structure for which a building permit has been issued shall be diligently pursued to completion. A building permit shall become null and void if the building or work authorized by such permit is not commenced within sixty days from the date of issuance of such permit, is not completed within one year from the date of issuance of such permit or is suspended or abandoned for a period of six months after the work has commenced. Upon any construction project being deemed abandoned, all buildings or structures not completed to the degree indicated on the plans submitted in support of a building permit therefor, and all building materials and construction equipment, shall be removed from the site.
