In case any violation order is not promptly complied with, the Enforcement Officer may request the City Attorney to institute an appropriate action or proceeding at law to exact the penalty provided in Section 1482.99, and, in addition thereto, may ask the City Attorney to proceed at law or in equity against the person responsible for the violation for the purpose of ordering him or her to abate such nuisance.
