1280.01 VIOLATIONS AND REMEDIES IN GENERAL.
   (a)   If any building is or is proposed to be located, erected, constructed, reconstructed, enlarged, changed, maintained, or used, or any land is or is proposed to be used in violation of this Zoning Code or any amendments or supplements thereto, the Zoning Administrator, Building Inspector, or any adjacent or neighboring property owner who would be specially damaged by such violation, in addition to other remedies provided by law, may institute injunction, mandamus, abatement, or any other appropriate action, actions, or proceedings to prevent, enjoin, abate, or remove such unlawful location, erection, construction, enlargement, change, maintenance, or use.
   (b)   Any failure or refusal of any owner or tenant in possession of real property to remedy any material violation of this Zoning Code in conformance with a reasonable written order by the Zoning Administrator shall be guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree and shall be fined not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) or imprisoned not more than 60 days, or both. Each day that a violation continues after the period given to abate the violation has expired shall constitute a separate offense, punishable as such hereunder.
