(a) Application under this Zoning Code for a zoning certificate, appeal, variance, conditional use permit, certificate of occupancy, planned unit development, text or map amendment, or other administrative or quasi-judicial action may require payment of a fee. In the interest of uniformity among political jurisdictions, fees shall be as specified in the most current Butler County fee schedule relative to zoning matters, as adopted by the Butler County Board of County Commissioners, unless otherwise provided herein or by other ordinance. The appropriate fee shall be paid to the City with the application. There shall be no fee, however, in the case of applications filed by the City Council or the Planning Commission.
(b) The fees charged under this Zoning Code shall be in addition to the regular building permit fees and any other fees that may be imposed under other applicable ordinances of the City. The fees imposed by this Zoning Code only partially defray the costs involved in applications, such as publishing and/or posting and mailing the notices of the hearing or hearings, and review of plans by the Zoning Administrator and others. Therefore, these fees are not refundable regardless of the outcome of the application.
