636.18 ABUSING POLICE OFFICER OR POLICE RADIO DISPATCHER.

(a) No person shall knowingly and willfully challenge to fight, threaten to assault or strike, verbally abuse or make derogatory remarks to a police officer or police radio dispatcher while such police officer or police radio dispatcher is in the performance of his or her duties.

(b) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the second degree.
