(a) No person shall own, keep or harbor any dangerous animal in the City. A dangerous animal is any animal, other than a domestic dog or cat, which, in a wild state, is carnivorous, or which, because of its nature or physical makeup, is capable of inflicting serious physical harm or death to human beings, including, but not limited to, animals belonging to the cat family, snakes or reptiles which are poisonous or otherwise present a risk of serious physical harm or death to human beings as a result of their nature or physical make up, including constrictors and alligators, and including bears, wolverines, badgers, lions, tigers and such other animals as the Director of Safety determines, by written rules, to be dangerous.
(b) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree.
