280.03 PAYMENT OF COSTS OF INCARCERATION.
   (a)   Any person convicted of a criminal offense other than a minor misdemeanor who, as a consequence thereof, is confined in a jail for which the City is responsible for reimbursement to the political entity maintaining the jail, shall reimburse the City for expenses incurred by reason of such confinement, including, but not limited to, expenses relating to the provision of food, clothing, medical care and shelter.
   (b)   The City Attorney may institute any appropriate civil suit for recovery of the expenses incurred as set forth in division (a) of this section in accordance with Ohio R.C. 2929.15.
