(a) There is hereby established the positions of part-time non-bargaining unit police officers.
(b) The selection of part-time non-bargaining unit police officers shall be made in accordance with standards and criteria established by the Chief of Police, and shall not exceed more than one- half of the number of full-time officers in the bargaining unit. Appointees of the part-time non- bargaining unit shall be in the unclassified service of the City.
(c) Part-time non-bargaining unit police officers will serve as needed through the direction of the Chief of Police to supplement the full-time police officers.
(d) Part-time non-bargaining unit police officers will be required to furnish certain equipment under guidelines established by the Chief of Police.
(e) Part-time non-bargaining unit police officers will be certified according to standards established by the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy.
(f) Part-time non-bargaining unit police officers shall be paid at the current salary Range 36 - Police Officer Part-Time, as in Exhibit A attached to Ordinance 31-2001.
