(a) The Law Enforcement Trust Fund is hereby established for the deposit of funds forfeited pursuant to Ohio R.C. 2933.43 to be allocated to the Police Department to pay the costs of protracted or complex investigations or prosecutions, and reasonable technical training or expertise, to provide matching funds for Federal law enforcement grants, or for other law enforcement purposes determined by Council.
(b) The Drug Law Enforcement Fund is hereby established for the deposit of moneys received for payment in lieu of fines or contraband forfeited other than pursuant to Ohio R.C. 2933.43 or appropriated by Council. Any unused money may be appropriated annually for the same purpose or transferred to the General Fund.
