§ 33.05 DUTIES OF CHIEF OF POLICE.
   The Chief of Police shall be the commanding officer of the police force and shall have control of the assignment of all members of the force and the direction and supervision of police work in the village, including any special police officers under his or her command. The Chief of Police shall be responsible for the control and regulation of all equipment assigned to or under the control of the Police Department. The Chief of Police shall serve all notifications in writing, when ordered by the Village Board. The Chief of Police shall perform all such other duties as shall be prescribed by ordinance or by order of the Board.
