Of the nine appointed members, three shall serve for a period of one year, three for a period of two years and three for a period of three years; except that, any Trustee on the Plan Commission shall serve for the term of his or her elected office. Thereafter, any appointed members, other than Trustees, shall serve for a period of three years. All members of the Commission shall serve without compensation; except that, if the Village Board of Trustees deems it advisable, the Secretary may receive such compensation as may be fixed from time to time by the Board of Trustees and provided for in the appropriation ordinance.
