(A) Creation of office. There is hereby created the office of Superintendent of Public Works who shall be appointed by the President with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees.
(B) Duties. It shall be the duty of the Superintendent of Public Works to cause the inspection of all connections made to the public water and sewer of the village to determine that the same are properly made.
(C) Waterworks and sewer.
(1) The Superintendent of Public Works shall have charge of the water and sewer systems.
(2) He or she shall be responsible for the proper operation of the same; and he or she is hereby authorized to see to the enforcement of all laws and provisions pertaining thereto.
(D) Streets. The Superintendent of Public Works shall have charge of the public streets and supervision over the maintenance and repair of the same.
(E) Buildings. The Superintendent of Public Works shall have charge of the maintenance and repair of all village-owned buildings.
(F) Other physical property. All physical property of the village which is not assigned by the Board to some other officer or employee shall be in the care and custody of the Superintendent of Public Works.
