§ 90.024 POLICE AUTHORIZED TO KILL CERTAIN DOGS OR CATS RUNNING AT LARGE.
   Any police officer may kill a dog or cat running at large which is suspected of suffering from rabies if the dog or cat, in the opinion of the police officer, cannot be safely taken up and impounded, or if the police officer deems such killing essential to the safety of any person.
