§ 90.002 LIABILITY OF OWNER OR KEEPER.
   (A)   Damage to animals.
      (1)   The owner or keeper of any animal shall be liable for all damages that may accrue to any other person by reason of any such animal pursuing, chasing, wounding or killing any animal belonging to such other person.
      (2)   However, no owner or keeper of any animal shall be liable for any damage caused by such animal having rabies or other similar disease unknown to such owner or keeper.
   (B)   Injury to persons. If an animal, without provocation, attacks or injures any person who is peaceably conducting himself or herself in any place where he or she may lawfully be, the owner or keeper of such animal shall be liable in damages to the person so attacked or injured to the full amount of the injury sustained.
   (C)   Damage to property. The owner or keeper of any animal which damages or destroys any public or private property shall be held liable for the value of the property damaged or destroyed.
