There is hereby established an executive department of the village to be known as the combined Waterworks and Sewage Department, and there shall be placed in charge of the Department the Superintendent of Public Works who may appoint employees to serve as Superintendents of Waterworks and Sewers, respectively. The Superintendents shall perform duties under the direction of the Superintendent of Public Works and the President and the Board of Trustees and shall post bond and receive such compensation as the Board of Trustees from time to time determines.
