(A) Joints for extra strength vitrified clay pipe shall have a factory installed PVC (polyvinyl chloride) collar installed on one end of each pipe length. The other end shall have a factory installed band of urethane all in accordance with ASTM C-425.
(B) All joints in ductile iron pipe shall be flanged mechanical joint or “push-on” rubber gasket joints conforming to AWWA C111 and ANSI A 4.11.
(C) All joints in polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipe shall have a rubber gasketed joint conforming to ASTM F-477.
(D) All joints in concrete pipe shall use confined “O” ring type rubber gaskets.
