§ 51.043 QUALITY OF MATERIALS.
   (A)   All materials used in any sewer, house sanitary sewer service connection or house storm drain, or part thereof, shall be free from defects.
   (B)   House service lines shall be six inches in diameter and shall be constructed of one of the following three materials:
      (1)   Extra strength vitrified clay pipe conforming to ASTM C-700 with joints conforming to ASTM C-425;
      (2)   Ductile iron pipe conforming to AWWA C-151 and ANSI A21.51. The pipe shall be cement lined in accordance with AWWA C-104 and ANSI A21.4. The pipe shall be coated on the exterior with a petroleum-asphaltic coating of one mil thickness. Pipe shall be Class 50; or
      (3)   Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastic pipe shall conform to ASTM-3034. The pipe shall have a standard dimension ratio of 35 and shall have a gasketed joint with an integral bell which is a homogenous part of the pipe. The joint shall conform to ASTM D-3212 and the gasket shall conform to ASTM F-477.
   (C)   Materials for house storm drains may be any of the above listed materials and in addition may be constructed of concrete pipe conforming to ASTM C-76.
   (D)   All other types of pipe, except those listed above are strictly prohibited for use.
