§ 51.003 PROTECTION OF SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM.
   (A)   The separate sanitary sewer system of the village was built to carry away the domestic or sanitary sewage, the commercial sewage and, as may be permitted, the industrial castes of the village. It was not designed to carry any stormwater, water from air conditioning units, cooling system, surface water or ground water. Any act which shall cause any stormwater, water from air conditioning units, cooling system, surface water or ground water to be conveyed to and into the sanitary sewers is herewith directly forbidden. Furthermore, stormwater or surface water shall not be directed into any of the sewers of the village. Such acts are directly contrary to the provisions of this chapter and shall be subject to the penalties provided in this code.
   (B)   The sanitary or domestic sewage from all buildings in general shall be conveyed in house sanitary connections to the public system of sanitary sewers. Sanitary or domestic sewage shall include basement floor drainage; however, this shall not include any storm or ground water intentionally conveyed to the basement floor and from the basement floor to and into the sanitary sewer system.
