(A) The position of elected auditor(s) is hereby abolished and the Borough Manager/Secretary is directed to do everything necessary to remove the position from the ballot in the next election, whether primary or general, and from all succeeding elections.
(B) Council will by resolution each and every year from this year forward appoint an independent certified public accountant to audit all books and records previously audited by elected auditors. The compensation of the independent certified public accountant shall be as agreed upon between Council and the independent certified public accountant.
