The town specifically has decided to utilize the convention method as described in I.C. 3-8-5-1 et seq. and if and when more than one candidate from the same political party files a declaration of candidacy for the same office, said party shall conduct a town convention as provided more fully in I.C. 3-8-5-10. This section is created for the sole purpose of clarifying the specific state statutes and procedures utilized by said town in resolving multi-candidate declarations for the same political office.
