Unless the registered owner of a motor vehicle shall show that the operation of the offending vehicle at the time and place of alleged offense was unauthorized by him or her, the current motor vehicle registration of any offending vehicle shall constitute prima facie proof that such person was in control of the motor vehicle at the time of such violation.
